I work in an unique way. With my one to one clients, rather than offering one therapy at a time, I use my experience, judgement and expertise to tailor a blend of different therapies to suit your specific needs.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese healing technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. It is believed to restore the body's balance of energy, or Qi, and promote natural healing. Acupuncture has been used for centuries to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and address a variety of health conditions.

Meditation and Mindfulness

Meditation and mindfulness are practices that cultivate mental clarity and presence. Meditation involves focused attention, often on the breath, to calm the mind and reduce stress. Mindfulness extends this awareness to daily life, helping individuals stay fully engaged in the present moment. Both techniques enhance well-being and promote inner peace.

Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as "tapping," is a holistic therapeutic approach that combines acupressure and psychology. By tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on emotional issues, EFT aims to release negative emotions, reduce stress, and promote emotional well-being. It's a simple and effective self-help tool for emotional healing and personal growth.

8 Week Mindfulness Course for Health and Well-Being.

This course can be done either face to face or online.
 
This course will provide you with the tools to deal with stress and anxiety, and life in general, in a new way.

Stand-alone Seasonal Mindfulness and Meditation Workshops

Seasonal workshops offering a taste of Mindfulness and Meditation to both beginners and those more experienced.

Topics vary, but in the past our Christmas celebration included an introduction to mindful eating; our Spring celebration looked at renewal and rejuvenation; our Autumn celebration focused on relaxation and going inwards as the seasons change.

Regular Drop in Sessions

These are for everyone; from complete beginners to the more experienced – including those who have attended the 8 Week course.

These sessions are a chance to take time out of life, unwind and relax.

One to One Mindfulness Sessions

a) One to One Mindfulness Session

Mindfulness techniques are used to gain clarity on the situation, reduce the intensity of negative emotions creating headspace and relaxation in order to move forward.

b) One to One Mindfulness Coaching

For those too busy to attend a group workshop, or perhaps those who just prefer to learn on their own, I can now offer my popular 8 week Mindfulness Course on a one to one basis, either face to face in my Treatment Room or online on a video call.

Alison is an amazing therapist. She uses her intuition to guide her to the best treatment approach for her client. She uses many different treatment approaches to get fhe best results. I have completed one of Alison’s courses and it transformed my whole life thinking and definitely helped with my erratic sleep pattern. The courses are carried out in a lovely and relaxed atmosphere everyone starts at the same level and it’s so nice to be in a group and realise that other people often are experiencing the same as you. I have just completed the mindfulness and meditation course with Alison. If you're thinking about it I truly recommend that you do this course. The content each week has been so interesting and covers something which everyone can relate to in their own lives. It teaches us to slow down and notice what might be triggering our stresses and how that can affect us in so many ways. The course covered lots of ways in which we can calm our minds and bodies and be able to use these methods in many situations, whenever needed. Meditation is such a powerful tool and Alison teaches lots of methods of bringing this into your everyday life and how life-changing it can be. Alison has a wealth of knowledge and with a background in alternative medicines, acupuncture, eft and massage, she knows just how much of an impact stress has on our lives and is dedicated to helping people find proven ways of eradicating stress and to start living the life we deserve. Hope Valley Health and Well being recently delivered an online session for one of our clients to mark International Women's Day. The session looked at managing stress, and included a Mindfulness Meditation Practice through doing a body scan. Our clients' female staff reported how useful the found it, by improving their understanding of the signs of stress and giving then grounding techniques to help manage stressful situations. The bodyscan itself was very relaxing and had the effect of leaving us rejuvenated. thank you Alison for managing to deliver such an insightful and therapeutic session to a remote audience!
